Caption: Porter built this 0-6-0 tank engine in December 1941. It never made it to the company which ordered it, as it was immediately requisitioned by the US Navy for use in the Norfolk Naval Base. It was ultimately purchased by the Friends of the Valley RR from the city of Peabody, MA in December 2008, and since then has undergone a substantial cosmetic restoration. (July 24, 2010)
