Caption:One kite had this odd apparatus attached to it. After studying it for several minutes, we realized that it's a remote-controlled digital camera. There's a radio reciever above the camera, along with a motorized pivot so that the camera can be aimed independently of the kite. The red and white wire coming down from the receiver is hooked up to an infrared LED, which simulates the camera's remote.
