Caption: There were a number of rotary/straight dump coal hoppers dating from the mid-1970's in storage at the yard. GATX had just signed a new 3 year lease with Canadian National for the cars, so they were due to go in for some heavy repairs. The rust is caused by sulfer leaching from the coal the hoppers carry.
